The Psychology of Dependent Origination

Dependent Origination (paiccasamuppada) is the most cardinal and fundamental doctrine of the Buddha, which he contrived at the eve of his Enlightenment. This qualitative research is an attempt to examine the psychological connection to the central Buddhist teaching Dependent Origination (paiccasamuppada) through a deepened investigation into its psychological and practical aspects. This study further delves into the psychoanalysis of the third link, consciousness (viññaa), revealing its active function that is related to almost all constituents of the law of causation, along with an evolving psychoanalysis of all mental phenomena.

Sanjoy Barua Chowdhury is a young Buddhist Scholar from Bangladesh. He completed S.S.C from the Chittagong Collegiate School and H.S.C from the Govt. City College, Chittagong of Bangladesh. He obtained a B.A. (Hons) in Religious Studies and an M.A.(with Distinction) in Buddhist Studies from the International Buddhist College (IBC) of Thailand.
